Dec. 23rd Newsletter Repost

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! 2015 has been a whirlwind year, and I'm proud to have served and fought for LD24. I hope that your holiday season is full of love and that you get a chance to check out at least one of the many eventsthat Phoenix has to offer this time of year.

While we are talking about the holidays, I hope you've noticed my invitation on social media to join in my holiday tradition: The 12 days of Ken Kristmas. For the 12 days leading up to Christmas I will be sharing different ways in which you can contribute to my campaign for re-election so I can keep fighting for a better Arizona. Please follow along on Facebookor Twitter and help us in any way that you can.

December's BeAZ Event was focused on giving back and supporting the AZ Charitable Tax Credit by giving to St. Marys food bank. Thank you to all who attended and helped us feed our community.

Join us in January as we visit Refugee Focus once again to learn what they've done over the last year and to show our support for refugees in Arizona.

Brain Food

a. Here's a great blog post, which points to some really good articles, that explores how the politics of climate change are, well, changing in the light of ExxonMobile acknowledging the reality of climate change.

b. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. The New York Times did a great article on how the Republican Party has been working to chip away at the act at the state level in the decades since the act's passage.Give it a read for a 30,000-foot view of why our nation is where it is politically.

c. Test your holiday-knowledge chops. Is Father Christmas really from the north pole? Can you guess his country of origin?
